National Ports Exchange Launch Day

The National Ports Exchange was officially launched today 30/8/2001) by Y.B. Dato' Seri Dr. Ling Liong Sik, Minister of Transport, Malaysia.

This portal involves three main components - content (information), interactive and transactional, which will provide an important and useful platform for all players in the transport and logistics industry.

The Honorable Minister also officially launched the country's first electronic on-line Manifest Balancing System developed by Port Klang Authority in co-operation with Dagang Net Technologies (DNT). Many key value-added features have been incorporated into this system making the system user-friendly, efficient and productive.

Approximately 300 guests from the Maritime and Logistics Industry including many Captains of the industry were present at the launching ceremony held at the Concorde Hotel, Shah Alam.
