ePAYMENT

In April 1997, Dagang Net Commerce introduced the first commercially successful electronic fund transfer (EFT) service in the world.

Supported by 9 local banks, the EFT service enabled Customs duty payments to be made electronically via the Electronic Multi-Payment Gateway (e-MPAG). As a result, users enjoy a host of benefits, from convenience, and security to time and cost savings.

Besides successfully pioneering the commercial use of smartcards and digital signatures in Malaysia, Dagang Net Commerce’s EFT service effectively assures the security of each transaction with built-in mechanisms that authenticate and check integrity of payment instructions to ensure non-repudiation.
