INFORMATION, INTERACTION and e-COMMERCE TRANSACTION

Information and content

• Port users will be able to obtain relevant data such as vessel information, sailing schedules and access a directory of all service providers at all Malaysian ports from this information and content component.

Real-time and interactive

• Enables interaction between shippers and service providers such as shipping lines and freight forwarders to book container space, negotiation of freight rates and others.
• Enables service booking with port operators, e.g. berth booking, booking for fresh water supply.
• Enables on-line booking of vessel space.

Transactional mode

• Enables transmission of cargo declarations and dangerous goods notification to the relevant authorities such as Customs and port authorities. Its also allows the submission of space booking, service/rate confirmation, request for container deliveries, movement orders and transmission of manifest, bill of lading, stowage plan, etc.
